Apr 26, 2011 Letters
Dear Editor,
I observed a letter by one Nigel Green in the Kaieteur News in response to my letter captioned, “Mr. Ramotar’s absolution of GuySuCo is deceitful”. I am absolutely convinced that Nigel did not understand my letter which was printed in full in the SN with the associate empirical evidence to back up my statements. What is the literacy level coming to in the PPP?
Where in my letter did I say the PPP inherited a booming sugar industry? What I clearly said was that Hoyte handed over to Dr Jagan a production of 247,010 tonnes as compared to Donald Ramotar’s production in 2010 of 217,869 tonnes, a shortfall of 12% on the Hoyte’s production. This is his record and it is pathetic. If he cannot supervise GuySuCo, how can he supervise Guyana?
I have nothing else to say to Nigel since I am convinced he is an agent provocateur and he will not be allowed to waste my valuable time. I ask the reading public to compare my factual letter with this poor attempt by Nigel Green to distort my comments. Mr. Ramotar must hire better agents to defend his cause than these political novices. I remain convinced that I am dead right that Mr. Ramotar’s board at GuySuCo supervised the demise of the sugar industry.
What has the PPP gone to where the work to defend their candidate is left to the likes of Nigel Green and Elizabeth Daly and Todd Morgan and some male predators and pedophiles in that office in New Garden Street? Where are the Hydar Ally’s and the Rohees and the Teixeiras and the Ramkarrans? I am sure they can do a better job at defending Mr. Ramotar’s records than the phantom crew and the peanut butter gang.
