Beach Volleyball tourney fixed for Berbice

The Berbice Volleyball Association’s (BVA) will on Monday (Easter Monday) stage its two man (two- aside) beach volleyball competition at the Popular No63 Beach Corentyne Berbice beginning at 09:00 hrs.
A number of teams and pairs are expected to participate in the competition. It is open to the public and will see play in both the male and female categories.
Players from most of the top teams in Berbice as well as past players and students from schools are expected to form themselves into pairs to participate in the competition, which is expected to generate much excitement.
Among some of the teams that are expected to send players are Rollers of New Amsterdam, GTC/PM Falcons and Eaglets from East Canje, Albion and Port Mourant Jaguars among others. Trophies and other incentives will be available for the top three teams as well as outstanding individual players including the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Best Attacker, Best Setter and best defender.
