After losing game one a week ago, Farnum’s X1 returned the favour by beating ECI last Sunday at the National Park Tarmac in a T20 Tapeball cricket encounter.
ECI batted first and were dismissed for 143 with Brian Sukhai top scoring with 43.
He got support from Rawle Munroe (18) and Edwin Sears (13) as Alex Culley had 3-31, Timothy Griffith 2-20 and Delon Cadogan 2-15.
When Farnum’s X1 (who conceded 43 extras) began their reply, Man-of-the-Match Tony Wharton, who hit the winning runs with his fifth six, led the run chase with a pugnacious unbeaten 36 after Vickram Panday (18) and Culley (14) had given their team a solid foundation.
But with seven wickets down and Farnum’s X1 in danger of a second straight defeat, Matthew Marks who hit a responsible undefeated 24 and Wharton joined forces to see their team to victory.
Munroe took 2-14, Sukhai 2-12 and Troy Williams 2-22, although spinner Tony Rangewan also took 2 wickets but gave away 52 runs.
The teams head into the deciding third game of the three-match competition with the series locked 1-all.
