The Guyana Badminton Association Easter Junior Under-13 Tournament started on Monday at the Queens College Badminton Courts.
The Tournament attracted players from a number of schools and the GBA is pleased with the large number of entries. Several players turned in good performances in the early rounds that were played.
Results are as Follows:
Boys Singles First Round:
Amar Ramlall defeated Sheldon Daniels: 21-8, 21-7
Sanjay Bhupan defeated Josh Oodit: 21-12, 21-13
Boys Singles Quarter-Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Amar Ramlall: 21-13, 21-4
Darnell Benn defeated Jonathan Mangra: 21-18, 21-11
Diquan Naughton defeated Sanjay Bhupan: 21-15, 21-5
Ajave Singh defeated Christopher Camacho: 21-9, 21-8
Girls Singles First Round:
Arian Kayume defeated Mickelly Rahaman: 21-15, 21-17
Crystal Dey defeated Tiffany Persaud: 21-15, 21-17
Vena Mookram defeated Analise Samaroo: 21-11,21-15
Lea Lachmansingh defeated Reshma Gokul: 21-5, 21-6
Girls Singles Quarter-Finals:
Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Arian Kayume: 21-4, 21-2
Crystal Dey defeated Jea Ramsammy: 21-17, 21-10
Nadine Jairam defeated Vena Mookram: 21-8, 21-8
Ambika Ramraj defeated Lea Lachmansingh: 21-8, 21-8
The Tournament continues today at 2:30pm with the remaining Singles and playoff in the Doubles and Mixed-Doubles competition.
