Dear Editor,
The British will say “Bloody Hell” and the Jamaican will be less diplomatic and scream “Blood cl…….” But Bob Marley said it the best, “There is a natural mystic blowing through the air. If you listen carefully you will hear”.
This will not be the first trumpet nor will it be the last. How many more will have to suffer, how many more will have to die, “don’t ask me why”. “Things are not the way it used to be, I will not tell no lie”. “One and all will have to face reality”.
“Sixty years after it was unveiled, on May 26, 1954, two deliberate, illegal dynamite explosions blew off the head and the orb-bearing left hand of the statue” i.e. Queen Victoria’s statue in Guyana.
This was the beginning of terrorist activity in Guyana attributed to the good handy works of the PPP. We have witnessed the Son Chapman boat in the 1960’s, to current day extra-judicial killings and now the saga of the IT specialist’s instructions to commit crimes with threats to him and his family and the actual kidnapping of his wife.
What more do the Guyanese people need to understand about this evil which has taken over their lives? How many more will have to suffer, how many more will have to die?
Demerarawaves.com in its article “Ramotar, Granger talk up credentials” reported that “Ramotar, 60, answered that there are many differences between them, beginning with the political culture of their respective parties”. Yes, the differences are clear as black and white.
The PNC’s culture and ideology are not like the PPP ‘s acts of terrorism, dictatorship, extra-judicial killings, corruption, rule by man not the law, bad governance and actual taking of the Guyanese people’s resources to place it in the hands of operatives who can funnel the resources back to them. We have the Norway deal, the One Laptop Per Family and now the Indian land deal. When will it stop?
There are quantitative measures to determine the exact amount of money that is being placed in the hands of foreigners for the benefit of that party and regime.
This statistic was taken from the US. “Based on the current price per acre of Wyoming timberland, the 2.2 million acre park (more than twice the size of Rhode Island) could fetch approximately $5 billion from a major logging concern”. The land given away for safe keeping by this regime is twice the size of the land mentioned in that statistic size.
Land and raw natural resources have the same value anywhere in the world. Thus approximate US$11 billion was taken away by this regime in one deal. This can enrich the entire population of Guyana i.e. each citizen receiving US$15,000 ($3 million Guy). If each citizen is given that money it will be a life transformation event that would totally eradicate poverty in Guyana.
Granger’s response in Demerarawaves.com was “I think that everything’s going to be discussed, the PPP’s record over the last 18 years, extra judicial killings and phantom squads, collapsing stellings; I think all of these issues are going to be debated. The PPP has a record over the last 18 years that cannot stand public scrutiny and I’m sure that there’ll be a lot of questions in that regard so I think Mr. Ramotar will have his work cut out,”.
Ramotar has his work cut out for him because there is a “natural mystic blowing through the air. If you listen carefully you will hear”.
This will not be the first trumpet nor will it be the last. How many more will have to suffer, how many more will have to die? “Things are not the way it used to be, I will not tell no lie”. “One and all will have to face reality”. Guyanese make this your election team song. I hope my fellow Guyanese’s sense of justice and dignity make them as outraged as I am over this evil.
