The semi-final matchups of this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Schools Football competition have been decided following the completion of the preliminary rounds on Friday.
The first round of competition will be played tomorrow at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground where Harmony Secondary takes on Linden Foundation from 13:30hrs while in the second game, Christianburg / Wismar Secondary tackle Wisburg Secondary.
Then on Thursday, the teams will play the return leg at the same venue where the teams with the best aggregate after the two matches will be declared the two finalists, the losers will vie for the third place. The final and third place playoff is set for May 3.
Meanwhile, the final day of the Group stage saw New Silvercity and Wisburg play to a 1-1 stalemate. Romel Pickering netted for Wisburg, while Jonathan Fredericks responded for New Silvercity.
The final game of the round which was rescheduled for last Friday was not played after the teams reached an agreement since it has no real impact on the final standings of Group 2. Below is the final standings of Groups 1 and 2.
