Issues directly affecting the growth of the private Sector in Guyana under a new Government will be the order of the day at three business luncheons to be hosted by the GMSA.
The Guyana Manufacturers and Services Association (GMSA) is giving each of the three Presidential candidates contesting this year’s General Elections the opportunity to address the private sector with details of their proposed plans for spurring growth in the country’s private sector.
In a press release, President of the GMSA, Clinton Williams, extended congratulations to Donald Ramotar, Khemraj Ramjattan and David Granger on their successful nominations to contest the 2011 elections as Presidential Candidates for their respective parties.
GMSA’s membership which comprises small and large businesses in the manufacturing and services sectors in Guyana, is according to Williams, interested in the plans and programmes that each parliamentary party has devised to promote private sector development and overall economic growth going forward into the foreseeable future.
As such each presidential candidate will be called upon to present their vision for economic growth to the business community.
Alliance For Change (AFC) Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan is expected to be the feature speaker at the first in the special series of business luncheons which has been scheduled for Wednesday April 27, 2011 at the Guyana Pegasus.
People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R) Candidate, David Granger has agreed to address the second luncheon on Wednesday May 11, while People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Candidate Donald Ramotar will round off the three-part series on Wednesday May 25 at 12 noon at the same venue.
The GMSA which stands as the representative body of Guyana’s manufacturing sector and service providers has been hosting these business luncheons for three years now.
