Dear Editor:
I read about a case of a family of four Indo-Guyanese applying for permanent residence in Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.
The reasons they provided to justify political asylum is that they face persecution because the principal applicant is a PPP member.
This is the most ludicrous and foolish reason for running away from Guyana that I have read in my entire life.
In Donald Ramotar and Bharrat Jagdeo, people like Mr. Jagdesh Singh continue to vote PPP notwithstanding their personal security is at risk, and their ability to earn a living is compromised.
My humble suggestion to Mr Jagdesh Singh and family? Come right back home and be a man and live in your PPP Guyana or vote for change.
Do not vote for Jagdeo and then run away from his misery. When you come back home you have a choice, vote for the PPP or vote for the AFC and decide if you want robbery and licks at the hand of the PPP or freedom and better personal security which the AFC is offering.
