Apr 12, 2011 Letters
Dear Editor,
I refer to a letter written by Malcolm Harripaul and published in the SN of Sunday, April 10, 2011. First of all, the writer needs to stop misleading the Guyanese populace with his lies and untruths about the PPP/C Administration. Keep your comments and views to yourself.
He referred to President Jagdeo’s statements about David Grainger being nothing but lies.
Guyana cannot and should not expect better from the likes of people like Malcolm Harripaul who is a pessimist and just bitter at some personal experience he might have had.
Mr. Harripaul and his cohorts usually surface at this time to ensure that his bits of lies are among those disseminated by the Opposition and his other colleagues.
Mr. Harripaul needs to be a realist and face reality as it is. Guyana is not the only society which is affected by crime, violence etc. other countries, even right here in the Caribbean are worst off, but you don’t find citizens of those countries publicly highlighting the negatives.
We need to start highlight the positive impacts and changes in society.
The Bharrat Jagdeo Administration deserves credit for the significant transformation Guyana has and continues to undergo as a rapidly developing state. There is no other Party that is capable to run effectively the affairs of the state.
It is against this background that the PPP/C should be re-elected at the upcoming national and regional elections.
