Top word formers to compete in GASP Open

Most of the top word formers in the land are expected to compete in the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players Open Tournament which is scheduled to be staged on Sunday, at the Malteenoes Sports Club Pavilion.
According to a release from the Organisers, players such as Moen Gafoor, who recently beat a strong field to capture the Phagwah Open Competition, Orlando Michael, Fred Collins, Colin Chichester, Rudolph Michael, Ewart Adams, Yvonne Murray, Leon Belony, Ulric Harris, Grace Hercules and Ruby Cummings are anticipated to take the starter’s orders.
Gafoor, who destroyed the competition with relative ease in the season opener is highly favoured to repel the opposition, but word is that most of the players confirmed for the tournament have been hard at practice and rearing to reverse the results of the last event.
