De education channel come and de children gun get teaching from people who deh far. De Education Ministry ain’t got to find all de teachers. Dem boys want to know why dem didn’t think of this before. Even if dem didn’t have TV dem coulda put loud speakers in all dem school and get somebody to teach by telephone.
All dem had to do was put somebody in de class and this person woulda copy pun de blackboard whatever de person seh on telephone. But in this day of technology dem gone hi-tec. But dem boys have a problem. De person who teaching got to come from America. Dem boys deicide to look at de channel de other day and dem lef wid dem mouth open. Guyana does spell programme only one way. De TV education people teaching dem to spell like American. Dem spell de word program.
Dem boys think was a mistake till dem see that de people who plan de programme spell colour just like dem Americans-color.
By next week dem children gun be singing de Star Spangled Banner and when people ask dem who is de president dem gun seh Barack Obama.
Then dem gun believe that dem don’t need visa to travel to de States because even dem accent gun change. Del already have problems wid de Canadians because Robeson bruck down de people shed. Dem boys seh that he do that deliberately because he got a Canadian passport and if visa get cancel then Bharrat got to mek he High Commissioner to Canada.
Talk half. Lef half.
