De boss man fly in from New York Friday morning, wid some beer in he head and rum in he knee. Since de people at de Waterfalls paper see he dem holler ‘Sri Lanka. Bet.’ De boss man like fuh bet and he seh ‘Gone.’
Dem boys seh that he like fuh bet but he don’t know one thing bout de game. He don’t even know who or wheh dem ah play. He does tell dem pick you choice and gie me de odda team.’
De bet come in. Some people bet $5,000; $10,000; $20,000. Some even bet dem whole month salary pun Sri Lanka. De boss man tek India.
And all this happen because de boss man get vex over a liar letter from Ganda Gopaul. In de letter Ganda claim how he nah drink de night when he write off a man car. Well if wha dem boys smell wasn’t likker was Listerine, de one wid alcohol. And dem boys notice that he wait weeks. He wait till he brush he teeth, scrub he tongue and scrape he belly before he claim that he didn’t drink rum.
Even de police wait two day before dem test he.
Dem boys still think this whole letter business is a All Fools Day joke. Ganda believe that de boss man running Dharm Shala. Anyhow, de boss man seh that when he win de bet he might give Ganda all de money, but only when he done go to all dem courts.
He intend to go to de CCJ, Privy Council, International Court of Justice, Court of Kuwait right down to de Arabian Court of Justice. And dem Arab don’t like likker, dem might tolerate Listerine—de one without alcohol.
In de liar letter dem talk bout reparation. Dem boys know that reparation is fuh dem slave. Is wha Ganda really tellin’ dem boys? That he is a slave? Don’t push yuh luck, Ganda.
