Dear Editor,
I am compelled to respond to the lies and propaganda peddled by Prem Misir, the chief propagandist for Mr. Jagdeo and his corrupt PPP regime. Based on his false demagoguery, it appears as though this paid PPP propagandist has memory lapses. First he says that Guyana is democratic and free and then a few weeks later he said that Guyana is on the move towards consolidating democracy.
What he meant only the devil knows, but this PPP propagandist in his vain imaginings tries to pride himself as an academic and intellectual, when in fact he is the head of the PPP propagandist machine that is paid a hefty salary by Mr. Jagdeo to contort and cloud the facts.
Guyanese in and out of Guyana know that Misir is paid by Jagdeo to say things that are not true. Misir himself knows very well that paid propagandists are not well regarded or received in academic circles. To say the least, his letters are worthless and he should be ashamed of himself to knowingly disseminating false information.
Misir who is the Pro-Chancellor at the University of Guyana (a position he should have never had) is not really interested in UG; his only interests are to propagandize for the PPP corrupt regime. He has never written a single letter about the decaying conditions at UG, the plight of students who are desperately trying to get a decent education, the unworkable toilets, a run-down library without adequate books, lack of potable water, poor lighting facilities, lack of proper science laboratories, the deplorable conditions of campus houses, lack of funds for research, and the poor and inadequate salaries paid to lecturers/professors and staff.
Misir knows that the entire UG dilapidated structure of which he is part of and which is subjected to Jagdeo and PPP intrusion is on the verge of collapsing, yet he has not proposition his boss for financial support. Like Jagdeo who has starved UG of funds, Misir believes that all is well at UG. It looks like “goat bite” he and Jagdeo too. I suggest he speaks to Freddie to get this resolve.
