GABBFF President Fiona Harris collects the letter of intent from Supervisor of Fitness Express Ian Rogers.
Category & Overall winners to receive hampers
Ahead of their Annual Novices and Intermediate Championships which will be held on Sunday at the National Cultural Centre, the Guyana Amateur Body Building and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) received a timely booster, compliments of Fitness Express.
Specialising in health and fitness products, Fitness express located at John and Sheriff Streets, Campbellville and owned by Jamie Mc Donald, will be presenting hampers of his products to the winners of the respective individual categories as well as the overall winners of both competitions.
Making the symbolic presentation to GABBFF President Fiona Harris was Supervisor Ian Rogers who said that Fitness Express has been a committed supporter of body building ever since they opened for business.
Rogers noted that while the business is not huge, they have sought to assist a number of sportsmen and women apart from associations and federations the best way they can.
“We are more than proud to once again be assisting body building and specifically the GABBFF’s annual novice and intermediate competitions.
Fitness Express is confident that our contribution would help to assist the athletes to keep in shape as they prepare for even bigger competitions.”
Harris thanked Fitness Express for their continued support and partnership through the years.
She stated that preparations are going fine for Sunday’s event and informed that yesterday was the closing date for entries.
The President noted that based on entries up to the time of yesterday’s presentation, the flow of entries suggests that the numbers would be similar to last year when about 30 athletes competed.
Sunday’s show will get off the mark at 19:00hrs and will see competition in men and women fitness apart from the mainstream body building which also include a master’s category.
The GABBFF Head once again made a plea to corporate Guyana for assistance.
