Police Commissioner, Henry Greene is under observation at the Balwant Singh Hospital after he was rushed to the institution yesterday.
Kaieteur News was told that the Commissioner fell ill in Linden, where he was attending a table tennis presentation.
This is the second time in recent months that Greene has been hospitalised. The nature of his illness is not clear. Further Kaieteur News was told that Greene appeared to have fallen asleep for quite a while and was unable to respond vocally.
At least six men had to help the Commissioner get into his car so that he could have been rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital. He was later transferred to the private institution, where he is resting.
The top cop was last year admitted to the Caribbean Heart Institute (CHI), after he suffered from congestive heart failure.
