New Silvercity Secondary suffered its first loss in this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Secondary Schools Football Competition after going down to Harmony by a 1-0 margin when play resumed recently in Linden.
On target for the winners was Vowayne Hamilton, who netted a penalty in the 50th minute of play.
Meanwhile, in two other matches that were played, defending champions Wisburg Secondary eventually entered winners’ row after beating Harmony 3-1, while Christianburg-Wismar registered its second win in successive matches with a 1-0 triumph against Mackenzie High. In the Wisburg Secondary versus Harmony affair, Romel Pickering (17th), Leonard Wilson (51st) and Shawn Allicock (56th) were the men on target for the victors, while Vowayne Hamilton (42nd) made the lone response.
In the other clash, Kwesi Quintin (14th) netted the solitary goal for C/Burg-Wismar Secondary.
