Action in the Mayor’s Cup football championship is set to continue today and tomorrow at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda, with double headers.
Exciting match-ups have been set for today and tomorrow. Today from 6:00pm Camptown challenge Buxton Bakewell in the opening fixture, while the nightcap at 8:00pm will see Guyana’s number one club, Alpha United coming up against BV Triumph.
Tomorrow’s games will be Santos against Victoria Kings, while BK Western Tigers oppose Beacon.
Camptown will include Nigel Codrington, Troy Prescod, Reshawn Sandiford and Orlando Gilgeous who will lead the attack against Buxton who will have Sherwin Griffith, Rawle Phillips, Allister Deane, Owen Bobb and Samuel Critchlow.
The high powered Alpha line up features Shawn Bishop, Quincy Madramootoo, Kelvin McKenzie, Dwain Jacobs, Anthony Abrams and skipper Howard Lowe. Their opponents, BV will look to the talents of Colin Jones, Nickel Fraser, Kelvin Williams, Ronel Gordon and Malcolm Wilson to rebuff Alpha’s charge.
