Carib Food Distributors Inc, New Margarita’s sponsor DCB U-15 cricket
New Margarita's Gift Shop representative Ramdeo Kumar hands over the cheque to DCB President Raj Singh yesterday.
Carib Food Distributors Inc and New Margarita’s Gift Shop officially backed the Demerara Cricket Board Under-15 Competition when their respective representatives handed over sponsorship cheques in the Boardroom of the Everest Cricket Club yesterday.
The cheques were handed over to President Raj Singh in the presence of Board officials and representatives of the sponsors both of whom according to a release are ardent followers of the sport.
Handing over the sponsorship cheque on behalf of New Margarita’s Gift Shop was Ramdeo Kumar, while Carib Food Distributors Inc was represented by Operations Manager Yogeta Persaud, Khaushma Foo-Accountant and Suneta Sugrim-Secretary.
According to an official of the Board, the persistent inclement weather has curtailed plans to start the competition, but revealed that as soon as the weather patter improves the tournament will commence.
