Philipsburg (sxmislandtimes) – Nationals of Jamaica and Guyana will soon have to be in the possession of a visa, when visiting St. Maarten.
This was revealed by Prime Minister, Sarah Wescot-Williams, who has the portfolio of national security.
In addressing that subject on the program “People’s Voice” this past Sunday with Lloyd Richardson, the Prime Minister indicated that the process for the visa requirement has already been started by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the Prime Minister, just recently a missive was forwarded to the Dutch Minister of Kingdom relations, Piet Han Donner, in relations to the entry permit for nationals of the two countries.
Already, a visa requirement is currently in place for nationals of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
