Husband turns self over to police in lawyer’s presence
A post mortem examination performed on the remains of Nebert Isaacs-Bacon, whose body was pulled from a canal in ‘D’ Field Sophia, has revealed that she was murdered.
This newspaper was told that the woman died as a result of blunt trauma to the head and according to further information, she was killed before being placed at the location. Sources close to the investigation have also revealed that the woman’s husband of five years turned himself over to the police early yesterday morning.
Reports are that the man walked into the Turkeyen Police Station in the company of a lawyer.
Early Sunday morning a lad from ‘D’ Field Sophia made the gruesome discovery. He saw the body of a woman clad in a green T-shirt and blue denim skirt.
Many speculated that the woman’s body had been in the location for more than two days. A red bicycle was placed near the woman’s body suggesting that the woman rode off the road.
This newspaper understands that Bacon and her husband were in the courts over a domestic dispute. The woman had been married to the man, called “Evo” for about five years.
But their domestic problems escalated to the point that she was forced to secure a restraining order. He was forced to move out of the matrimonial home about five months ago but lived with his sister close by. He was said to have been issuing several threats recently to the now deceased woman.
Isaacs-Bacon who was described as a quiet Christian was last seen alive on Thursday.
She leaves to mourn her 19-year -old son, other friends and relatives. She worked as a Special Constable attached to Magistrate Fazil Azeez’s residence in Kitty.
