After months of eluding police, wanted man Sherwin Barrow has been captured. This newspaper was told that some time after noon on Friday, acting on information police swooped down on a house in North East La Penitence where they found Barrow.
According to a police source Barrow is accused of several robberies under arms in the Sussex Street and La Penitence area. There are also reports that the man may have been involved in murders.
This newspaper had also been informed that the man had been using Le Repentir cemetery as his safe haven for the longest while. The police on numerous occasions were engaged in confrontation with the man and during one instance there was an exchange in gunfire but Barrow was not caught.
Residents of the Sussex Street area had expressed their fear since the man had been spotted several times and daring daylight robberies had become a norm in the area.
Barrow is expected to be place on an identification parade early this week.
