Linden man ‘kidnapped’, released hours later

A Linden man is presently counting his lucky stars after he was kidnapped by two men, and subsequently released unharmed yesterday, mere hours after the alleged abduction.
According to reports, the 33-year-old resident of Nottinghamshire, Kemanie Sharma, was abducted from his home shortly before dawn yesterday by two gun-toting men, who gun butted him, threw him in a car and drove off.
The man who was reluctant to speak for fear of his safety, said he did not know the two men, and he did not know the location where they subsequently took him. He was released a few hours later.
It is not known whether any ransom was demanded or paid as relatives were tightlipped. They said that they were just relieved that the man had been released unharmed.
This is the second occasion in recent times that a Linden resident was ‘kidnapped’ and released unharmed within a 24-hour span.
Only last year, Keneisha McAllister, then a sixteen year old student of Wisburg Secondary School was ‘kidnapped’ by persons unknown and subsequently released. McAllister was kidnapped during a period of blackout in the mining town. She was reportedly on her way home from church.
A massive manhunt by both police and civilians was carried out in the Wisroc area and environs to rescue the teen, who had told relatives via telephone, that two other girls had been kidnapped along with her. That story was however never verified.
Linden’s latest ‘victim,’ was reportedly taken out of his house, after being unceremoniously roused from his bed, by his abductors. He is currently assisting police in their investigations.
