Second round rivalry in the Bill Express sponsored East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Under-15 League get going today at the BV Community Centre Ground with two matches from 14:00hrs.
Winner of Group ‘A’, Golden Grove, will take on the runner-up team in Group ‘B’, Buxton United, in the curtain raiser tomorrow afternoon. Feature play will see Group ‘B’ winner, Ann’s Grove United, matching skills with home team BV Triumph United. Play will continue March 20 at the same venue.Meanwhile, the EDFA has released the names of a 32 member squad that will commence preparations for the up-coming Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Inter Association Under-15 tournament.
The players named are; Stephen Matthews, Javid Boodnauth, Kevin Lewis and Denzil King (Plaisance FC); Akeem Adams and Jumali Major (Buxton Stars); Darrel Pellew, Steve Francis, Nikosie Denny and Levin Thomas (Ann’s Grove United); Ozaze Baird, Jamal Nero, Romario Welcome, Darren Marks and Shamar Fraser (B.V Triumph United); Steven Walcott, Paul Collins, Malcolm Williams, Justin Bristol, Phillip Liverpool, Mickel Evans and Akeem Smith (Golden Grove); Keiron Wilson and Lloyd Weatherspoon (Victoria Kings); Jeremiah Thorne, Clevon Barnwell, Jason Barnwell, Trayon Harper and Michael Bennett (Buxton United); Samuel Vandyke and Akeem McPherson (Mahaica Determinators).
