Play in the Toucan Industries Skill Level tournament started on Tuesday evening at the Georgetown club.
Newcomer, Ian Mekdeci came up against Patrick Fraser stealing the excitement for the night. Mekdeci started the match off in full blaze, placing the ball in the four corners well. This frustratingly gave Fraser a bit of trouble to receive and led Mekdeci to take the first game 11-6, and the second,11-4.
However, being the fighter he is, Fraser wasn’t content with giving up the final game, and came back on court with a fresh attitude, turning the whole momentum of the game around in his favour. He proceeded to win the next 3 games 8-11, 9-11 and 6-11, ending the match. It seemed in this one that experience had the edge.
