Dear Editor,
I refer to an article (Kaieteur News) captioned, “FOI legislation…PM failed to honour agreement to Parliament”. No matter how hard the Alliance for Change (AFC) tried to provide greater access to the people to information they are entitled to, the belligerence of the men who run Guyana could not be placated. They are hell bent on destroying Guyana, its system of governance, its traditional way of life and good men like the Honorable Prime Minister, Dr. Samuel Hinds.
Our Prime Minister used to be a man of quality, a man of character, a man of credibility. How come he is at this juncture of life?
Of all the men in the Jagdeo regime, it was least expected that the Prime Minister would have failed the nation on his word. What a way to destroy a good man, what a manner to leave office in shame and disgrace with so much dark clouds surrounding his good name. I call on the Honorable Prime Minister to be a man and stop letting the ‘boy toys’ destroy what little is left of his credibility and legacy.
I humbly call on the Prime Minister to resign from office forthwith and walk away with your head held high.
This call is being made to save what little is left of his credibility, his values, his character. He is better than his masters and he should never forget that.
The ludicrous excuse from none other that the General Secretary, Mr. Donald Ramotar is a clear indication that the PPP is hell bent of not passing this law and will continue to be very economic with the truth to hide all their shenanigan deals in the past, in the present and if the Guyanese people allow them, in the future.
Billions upon billions of taxpayers’ dollars continue to be spent by the Jagdeo regime with minimal or no accountability and yet the owners of these dollars do not have a right to know how their moneys are being spent?
The powers that be in the Jagdeo regime have destroyed many good people to preserve their hegemonic rule, the latest being Prime Minister, Dr Samuel Hinds.
Harry Ramessar
