Dear Editor,
With the poitical landscape almost finalised with Mr. Granger, Mr. Ramjattan, and possibly Mr. Ramator from the three main parties, we now know that not a lot will change and we are stuck in the past.
The possible candidate that is very impressive is Mr. Peter Ramsaroop who brings a fresh approach to solving Guyana’s problem. I like his boldness and especially his economic vision which speaks of all very practical ideas that should have been implemented long ago.
As one analyzes Mr. Ramjattan, one finds an angry politician whose anger is directed at President Jagdeo and one who is only out for revenge against the PPP, not for the better of Guyana.
Mr. Granger brings back a past that no one wants to hear about, a past of rigged elections and Mr. Ramator is simply out of touch.
I challenge my fellow citizens to pay attention to Mr. Ramsaroop’s approach. He has a young brigade of followers and I have read both of his books.
Guyana needs a new approach, a government of national unity and leadership that can put our country back on the map.
In Stabroek News it was reported that Ramsaroop called for debates. We would welcome such a move if the press takes it up. It will show how much out of touch the others are with the reality of our needs.
