International Table Tennis Federation’s (ITTF) Level I Coaches’ Instructor, Sydney Christophe presented a quantity of quality medals to the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) Sunday night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall before he departed yesterday.
Christophe spent close to two weeks in Guyana to conduct a Level I Coaches Course that was an integral part of the GTTA decentralisation programme. The Course concluded last Wednesday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall following a hectic four-day curriculum.
The 11-time national and past Caribbean champion remained in the country for the last weekend of the National Sports Commission (NSC)/GTTA Mashramani tournament that wrapped up with a closing ceremony Sunday night following a few final contests.
Christophe presented the set of medals to GTTA President, Henry Greene. The medals are to be used as awards in any tournament of the association’s choice. Next up on the list for the GTTA is the annual Business School-sponsored Inter-School competition.
