Woman being sought after attempting to post cocaine to the US

The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit is currently looking for a woman who attempted to post cocaine out of the country.
Reports are that some time around 9:00 hours yesterday the woman turned up at the Guyana Post Office Corporation’s main office where she attempted to post the package. As she was posting the box, after leaving it to be inspected by law enforcement agent she disappeared leaving the box which was packed with condiments and cosmetics.
A thorough search was carried out on the package and its content and the ranks discovered cocaine weighing close to two kilos hidden in the content.  By the time ranks tried locating the woman in the building she was gone.
Already for the week CANU has intercepted close to 10 kilos of cocaine on different occasions.
On Tuesday a 50-year-old woman from the United States of America was intercepted at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport with some five kilos of cocaine hidden in her suitcase.
Also on Mashramani Day, three persons, including a Nigerian, were caught at a city hotel with some three kilos of cocaine. There are also reports that some 200 lbs of marijuana was found at a city wharf.
