Schoolboys on bail with indecently assaulting 18-yr-old

Two 15-year-old schoolboys of the Vryman’s Erven Secondary School and of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, were on Friday placed on $30,000 bail each by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo.
They had appeared before her on a charge of indecently assaulting an 18-years-old neighbour on Wednesday.
Prosecutor, Sergeant Godfrey Playter, told the court that on the day in question about 20:15 hrs the victim was in her home when the two teens whom she knew visited and proceeded to fondle her.
She fought them off and escaped. She reported the matter and the two accused were arrested some days later.
The matter was referred to the DPP for advice and it was recommended that they be charged with indecent assault. When bailed they are to be placed in the custody of their parents.
