Dear Editor,
Please let me firstly congratulate your publication for the publishing of the contracts that are being announced weekly at the National Procurement and Tender Board.
It is enlightening to learn how the money that is entrusted to the government by taxpayers is being spent.
What would be even better is the publication of the specifications for these contracts, so that the nation can see if there is value for money. I was however, appalled to hear Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon suggest that the newspapers cannot be facilitated with the bid documents free of cost.
I am therefore appealing to you to please purchase the documents for the projects, especially the bid ones and publish the specifications so that there can really be transparency.
