A family of four is now homeless after their home collapsed about 13:30 hrs on Friday at 42 Housing Scheme, New Amsterdam.
According to reports, two individuals, including a baby, were in the house at the time and had to be rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
When Kaieteur News arrived on the scene, there was a television set on the road, apparently the only item that was salvaged from the wreckage.
A teen who spoke briefly said that the family will be staying with relatives until they can get back up on their feet.
