Omesh Sewdath, the father of 14-year-old, Ashminie Sewdath, is urging his reputed wife, Raywattie, to return his only daughter to their Charity home.
The businessman said that his reputed wife unknowingly took away his only daughter while classes were in session at her Abram-Zuil Secondary School.
An emotional Sewdath said that he is of the belief that his reputed wife has walked out of their relationship and he is confident she is in the company of a senior policeman who was recently been transferred to the city.
According to Sewdath, his argument has been substantiated by the revelation of a video tape which he has in his possession of his wife and the police man in the video. “I do not want my daughter to be raised by any stepfather,” Sewdath admonished.
The concerned businessman said that on the day of the incident he left his Charity business place about 9:00 hours for his home in that same village. The businessman said that when he entered his home he noticed something amiss.
“To begin with, I did not notice my wife anywhere in the house and all of her belongings as well as C’dn $550, US$540, $380,000 in local currency and another $200,000 in gold jewellery that belonged to his daughter.
Sewdath noted because his wife was in the habit of returning, one week after she would have leave the home, he decided to lodge a complaint a week after at both the Anna Regina and Charity Police Stations respectively.
“My concern is centered on the whereabouts of my daughter; she is all that I am willing to sacrifice for.”
Sewdath and Raywattie have been living as a reputed couple for the past two years. Sewdath said that he has since changed the locks on his doors.
