Feb 19, 2011 Letters
Dear Editor,
I refer to a letter from Bishop Juan Edghill in your issue of February 18, 2011, captioned, “Beware of those who seek to divide the Christian community”, in which he reiterates his belief in Christian dogma and theology and quotes from Romans 16:17 which speaks about those who divide and put obstacles in the way of the Christian faith.
I have a quote for Mr. Edghill from Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets, who come among you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves”.
We are not attempting to divide the Christians in Guyana Mr. Edghill we are stating our strong perceptions of you and what you represent, and on the contrary we are seeking to unite rather than divide.
Tony Vieira.
