It has been sometime since the organizing committee of the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) has hosted a tournament and such inadequacies have been the cause for concern among its membership. Towards this end President of that organization, Moen Gafoor has decided to take action in restoring faith in his executives while establishing the reason for the concerns of the stakeholders.
In a letter dispatched to the various members, Mr. Gafoor related that he is aware of the concerns amongst some members in regards to the direction in which the association is headed. “GASP executives have listened to those outcries and have organized a special meeting to deal with them,” the president stated in the correspondence. The meeting is scheduled for 10:00hrs tomorrow morning at the Malteenoes Sports Complex, Thomas lands. The forum will be chaired by Colin Chichester. “We wish to advise that those with concerns document them before arriving at the meeting in order to save time and facilitate a smooth process.
