All Area Associations are being alerted to commence preparations of their respective Under-15 teams for the annual Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Inter Association competition which is scheduled to begin before the end of this month.
According to a press release from PRO Rohan Sarjoo, the Competitions Committee will meet shortly to set the fixtures for this competition.
Competitions Committee Chairpersons or their representatives on the DCB from all areas including East Bank Demerara, East Coast Demerara, Georgetown and West Demerara are asked to contact DCB’s Colin Europe (611 6675 or 220 2338) or at the Guyana Cricket Board’s Office before the end of this week.
The round-robin competition Sarjoo said has been fully sponsored.
Players will have the chance to impress with the main standouts having the chance to be selected to the Demerara team for the annual Castrol Inter County tournament scheduled for the month of March and run by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB).
Area Associations are also put on notice that the Inter Association Under-19 competition will start immediately following the completion of the Under-15 sometime around mid March. Again, the top performers at eh under-19 level will be afforded the opportunity to make the Demerara team for the GCB run GTM Inter County competition.
