Twenty seven year-old Marvin Munroe slammed an unbeaten 112 for GNIC against MYO/Vikings on Saturday in their rain-ruined GCA second division two-day cricket match at the MYO ground last Saturday.
Munroe, retuning to cricket this season after a six-year self imposed exile, smashed nine fours and seven sixes in his attacking century as GNIC reached 332-8 at the end of the opening day before rain washed out the final day without a ball being bowled.
Munroe, a former Demerara under-19 player, got support from Lon Seecharan who struck three fours and six sixes in a pugnacious 75 and a shot-filled 66 with four fours and six sixes from former National youth opener Quency Ovid-Richardson.
Earlier left-arm spinner Delon Fraser took 4-9 from six overs as MYO/Vikings fell for 103 in their first innings.
