Fellow Guyanese Latiff, Dick also shine

Guyanese Sean De Souza hit a magnificent 98 not out as Sweet Revenge humbled Glenora by 138 runs in round four action of the North Zonal Cricket Council limited overs tournament in Trinidad.
Batting first, Sweet Revenge were boosted by two excellent knocks, from De Souza and another Guyanese, David Dick.
De Souza was the star of the show, striking the ball to all parts of the boundary in finishing just two runs shy of what would have been a deserved century while Dick contributed 48. Sweet Revenge closed on a daunting 221 for two from their allotted overs, leaving Glenora to chase a massive target.
In reply, Glenora had no answer for the bowling of Trevor Simpson who took four wickets for 21 runs to cripple Glenora for just 83 runs.
Sweet Revenge have been in tremendous form in the competition, winning easily in round three as well. Their captain Luke Latiff put in a fine performance with both bat and ball to lead his team to a crushing 67-run victory over Police Sports in earlier action.
Sweet Revenge compiled 179 for five from 40 overs with Rudolph Moore top-scoring with 35 runs and all-rounder Latiff chipping in with 28 runs.
Latiff, a former Berbice senior team medium pacer, returned to wreak further damage for his team, taking two wickets for 20 runs to help dismiss Police for 112.
