The fires have restarted and there will be more. In the coming days there will be another because of faulty electrical wiring as the owner attaches more electronic equipment to circuits that were not designed for such.
The Guyana Fire Service would have its work cut out for it given that it is understaffed and given that fire hydrants are almost things of the past.

I have said repeatedly that the roads are increasingly dangerous because of carelessness. We have seen the accidents resulting from this carelessness. There will be many more. It is as if people are in a hurry to kill themselves.
Speeding cars are going to collide with fatal consequences on the East Bank. At the same time two cars, one of them a large vehicle, would slam into each other because one is going to fail to observe a stop sign.
Innocent parties will get hurt.

The police have been very efficient in apprehending robbers because of the manner of the patrols in the city. This is as it should be. However, some criminals are not even going to understand this and they would try to go about executing gun crimes in a brazen manner.
Another batch would be nabbed in the execution of their crimes and the public would merely feel that this is going to be the new norm.
