National Cycling Coach, Hassan Mohamed has organized two cycle programmes for Mashramani scheduled for today and tomorrow.
Today’s programme is set for the National Park Circuit from 9:00hrs. The Events scheduled will see:
12 to 14 yrs Boys & Girls – 3 Laps
Veteran U – 50 yrs -5 Laps Veteran O – 50 yrs -5 Laps Juveniles – 10 Laps
Upright Cyclists – 5 Laps
School Boys & Invitation – 35 Laps
BMX Boys 12 to 14 yrs – 3 Laps
BMX Boys 9 to 12 yrs – 3 Laps
BMX Boys 6 to 9 yrs – 2 Laps
BMX Girls 6 to 12 yrs – 1 Lap
School Boys & Invitation – 35 Laps
BMX Boys Open – 3 Laps
Meanwhile, tomorrow, a 40 Miles Road Race commences from the Demerara Harbour Bridge at 9:00hrs, proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo before returning to the Harbour Bridge for the finish.
The first 6 finishers will receive prizes, the first 2 Juniors and 2 Veterans will also receive prizes.
Six Prime Prizes are to be won during the course of that race.
Both programmes are sponsored by the National Sports Commission. Director of Sport Neil Kumar will be on hand to distribute the prizes to the winning participants.
