… De Willem murder
A post mortem examination performed on the remains of Nandalall Williams has revealed that he died as a result of brain hemorrhage due to two incise wounds to the forehead.
The post mortem was done by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh. The dead man’s stepson was up to press time still in police custody. He is expected to appear in court some time later today.
The dead man’s wife said that it will now be difficult to deal with her husband’s funeral and her son’s date in court.
On Saturday evening, Nandalall Williams of De Kenderen, West Coast Demerara, was involved in a fight with his stepson who has been identified as ‘Manzoor’.
Reports are that Williams was beaten and chopped about his body. He was picked up and rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital but was subsequently transferred to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The suspect was arrested at his home in De Kenderen some hours after. A piece of wood and an old chopper were removed by investigators. These were believed to be the murder weapons.
