A destitute woman who dwells in the Albouystown area received medical treatment for some gaping wounds on her feet after she was bitten by dogs which were deliberately set upon her by their owner last night.
The woman lay on the road for over an hour before she was forcibly taken to the Georgetown Hospital.
This newspaper understands that the woman was in the yard of the dog owner causing “mischief”.
The dogs’ owner admitted that he was forced to set the animals on the woman after she began destroying his clothes while he was trying to get her out of his yard.
The man told Kaieteur News that he asked the woman to leave his yard but she refused. According to him, when her raucous behaviour became overbearing, he decided to set his dogs upon the woman.
When Kaieteur news arrived on the scene, a crowd had gathered around the woman who was bleeding profusely from her wounds.
The bites were mostly on her legs, with her left leg sustaining the most damage.
