Youth basketball website in the making
The Haynes Basketball Foundation has partnered with Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG), which will be launched tomorrow at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, in a strategic move that aims at the development of a website among other collaborative efforts.
In a 2:38 seconds YouTube video sent to Kaieteur Sport yesterday, the Haynes brothers, Patrick and Paul, said that the Foundation is proud to be associated with the coordinated efforts of YBG in its attempt to take youth basketball to the next level in Guyana.
“We are proud to be part of this programme that is aimed at the development of youths. The Haynes Foundation is proud to be a partner of the YBG and the launching of the website, youthbasketballguyana.com,” the brothers said in the video.
According to the Haynes Foundation, the website is designed to teach basketball fundamentals and to further expose children to fun activities in a positive environment while using information technology to give unlimited resources to children.
“We would also like to be part of development from early elementary to high school programme. We would continue to support this programme through all our resources and national team. YBG is designed to develop fundamentals, sportsmanship and the love of the game,” they continued.
In conclusion, it was the belief of the Haynes Foundation, which is a leading stakeholder of the sport in Guyana that children need inspiration and the YBG programme is designed to help those children develop themselves, their communities and their country.
