The Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) has congratulated pacer Ronsford Beaton on his elevation to the national senior four day team.
President of the ECB Sheik Ahmad said that Beaton fully deserved his selection since he has the ability to perform at the highest Level.
Ahmad further stated that he hoped Beaton would grasp the opportunity with both hands and be a good Ambassador for Essequibo and Guyana.
The Board’s Public Relations Officer Nazeer Mohamed told Kaieteur Sport that Beaton’s selection would be a great motivator to other youngsters in the Cinderella County. He said the County is not short of talent but players need to continue training hard and take the game seriously.
“Training should not only be done during the cricket season, but during the off season as well so that players can keep themselves fit and be ready for assignments when called upon,” stated Mohamed.
