Trinidadian remanded to prison for Guyanese woman’s murder
…Victim flown back to Guyana for burial
The man accused of killing 41-year-old Patricia Duncan has been remanded to prison in Trinidad days after the incident.
According to reports from the Trinidad Express, 46-year-old Christopher Toussaint appeared in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court before Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington on Friday.

Toussaint was charged with the murder and immediately remanded to prison until January 31 when the matter will be called again.
Meanwhile, the woman’s remains have since returned to Guyana for burial. The dead woman’s mother, Marjorie Patton said that contrary to reports which were carried in the Guyana Times and this publication
her daughter was not killed by her reputed husband as was suggested.
The woman said that her daughter’s reputed husband, David Mc Millian, is currently grieving like the rest of the family. The woman said that her daughter’s killer was caught shortly after the incident.
Toussaint was arrested by police with a bloodied cutlass in his hand near the Port of Spain Abattoir. The woman said that her daughter was attacked from behind by Toussaint who was her daughter’s work mate.
On Monday, Duncan, who worked as a security officer employed with Strike Force Security, was chopped once to the neck by a man also employed as a security officer with the company. She lived at Laventille Road, San Juan. She succumbed to her injuries later in the day at the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Duncan migrated to Trinidad back in 2009, with one of her four children. The child who was only five returned to Guyana yesterday following his mother’s death.
