A habitual thief was on Wednesday sentenced to two years’ imprisonment by Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty, when he appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge of break and enter and larceny.
Mohamed Hack, a/k Deportee, 34, was charged with the offense of break and enter larceny. The man who was unrepresented pleaded guilty.
According to police report between January 16 and January 17, last, Hack who hails from Anna Regina broke into the Anna Regina Mandir after gaining entry through a window and stole one water pitcher, three basins along with three hand towels.
Police said that Hack, on numerous occasions prior to his sentencing, had appeared before the court for similar offenses.
In his explanation to Magistrate Mc Gusty Hack said, “I did not break into the Mandir. Instead, I found the things on the road.”
