Guyana Karate Association (GKA), the official representative for the World Union of Karate-Do Organizations (WUKO) has filled two major positions in their organization.
Sensei Sukhdeo (Ricky) Jagnarain has been appointed the Chairman of GKA. He will be overseeing all technical matters outside of Guyana. Sensei Jagnarain has over thirty years karate experience and is based in Orlando, Florida.
Kumarie Jagnarain is GKA Liaison Officer and she will be working closely with Nadia Rohoman, GKA President. Her background is in Management.
Both will be part of Guyana delegation to the WUKO International referee course in Trinidad and Tobago (March/April) and the WUKO World Championships in Sicily, Italy in June.
Sensei Jagnarain has been a student of Sensei Darryl Williams since 1994 in New York. He is pursuing his WUKO referee and ASEP Coaching credentials. He currently teaches other karate instructors in Florida.
