As the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) continues its development programme, the association will hold a Referee and Judges seminar from Wednesday of next week to Saturday at the National Gymnasium.
Trinidadian and AIBA Referee Judge, Fitzroy James Beckles, will run the programme aimed at upgrading the officiating skills of the local pool of referees and judges.
Tying in with the seminar is the Under-15 competition on January 29 and the Friday night fights where Beckles will get the chance to assess the participants.
GABA is inviting all referees and judges and those interested in officiating to attend the programme. Those attending are requested to register on Monday between 9:00am and 4:00pm at the GABA President, Steve Ninvalle’s office at the Ministry of Sport on Main and Quamina streets.
