Guyana will play their opening game against England in the IRB Sevens World Series from 09:24 hrs on Saturday 12th February, at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, USA.
England is the current leader in the Series followed by New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji, South Africa, Australia, Argentina, Wales, USA and Scotland.
Guyana is in Pool A along with England, Argentina and France.
The Guyanese then play their second game on the same day at 13:05 hrs against Argentina and conclude the pool play-offs against France, who they drew with last year.
The Pool round will be followed by the staging of the Cup quarter finals, while on Day 2 the Bowl, Shield and Plate quarter, semi finals and final will be played.
After those matches are completed then the Cup semi finals and final will be played.
The Cup Final will be broadcast live worldwide for the first time by NBC at 14:15 hrs (West Coast USA time).
Guyana earned the right to represent the Caribbean after retaining their NACRA title and will be joined by Canada and Uruguay from this hemisphere along with Japan. They join the 12 core teams of the Sevens World Series for the North American leg of the Series.
USA qualified as a core team in the Series.
The 12 core teams are England, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Argentina, Wales, Australia, South Africa, France, Kenya, Scotland and the USA.
The Series has so far been played in Dubai, South Africa and New Zealand. The Series will continue in Hong Kong, Australia, England and conclude in Scotland.
The tournament will be held on February 12 and 13.
