Was a big ceremony at de launching of de programme to launch a year of activities to recognise people of African descent. That mean that all dem douglah, mulatto, santantone, and bovianda get recognition because all of dem is people of African descent.
But dem had some people who feel that was only fuh de real black people and dem dress up wid African garb.
But Sam and Robeson and some others wear ordinary clothes. In fact, Sam had on a dhoti and Robeson had on a sari. Dem boys want to know why dem ain’t wear he dashiki.
Dem seh that Sam is a man does dress up fuh every occasion.
When is Amerindian festival he does wear a straw thing round he head that look like a Cacique crown. When is Hindu he does wear a sari and sometimes he does wear a khurta. When is Muslim he does wear hijab.
That’s why dem boys want know why he couldn’t wear something that at least suggest he roots. Kwame wear a leaf in front and a straw to cover de back. He look like wan African bride from Mugga-dishu. But that was not de only thing that vex dem boys. Dem watch some people face in Parliament when Ashni sing de budget. Some of dem mek up dem face like if dem taste something bad.
One of dem tell a reporter that de budget taste salty. De other one claim how de budget smell bad. She was sitting next to Irr-faat.
Talk half Lef half.
