Eight teams to battle rain or shine
Aspiring to take the sport to another level in the Ancient County this year, the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) will launch their 2011 season this Sunday at the GTM Courts, New Amsterdam, with an open competition for teams in Berbice.
Prior to the on court action, teams will be addressed by the President of the BVA, Gregory Rambarran, Region Six (6) Youth & Sport Officer Omeshwar Shrikishun with the feature opening remarks to be delivered by Guyana Volleyball Federation President Lenny Shuffler.
Some eight teams will collide for the prizes and trophies on offer.
A day of keen rivalry is expected, rain or shine. Serve off time is 09:30hrs.
